Raúl Acero

Art and Design

Raúl Acero is a sculptor and ceramic artist and has been a University Professor for many years. He is currently the Chair of the Art Department at the University of Redlands in Southern California and has taught at Parsons School of Design and The Sage Colleges.

He is a former Chief Reader for the AP® Art and Design Program and currently serves as a Table Leader for the Art and Design Reading. Raúl has served as a Development Committee member, Exam Leader and Question Leader. He has been a College Board certified consultant for six years.

He is the author of the book “Making Ceramic Sculpture." His work can be seen at his website www.raulacero.net. His artwork is in many private collections and also in the Permanent Collection of the Studio Museum in Harlem and the Asheville Museum of Art, among others.

Born In Colombia, South America and educated in the U.S, Raúl has an M.F.A from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
